A quick reference for the Holy Spirit
Gen 1:2. NKJV. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
Gen 6:3. NKJV. And the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”
1 Sam 16:14. NKJV. But the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and a distressing spirit from the Lord troubled him.
Job 33:4: (KJV) “Spirit of God hath made me”. (ASV) “Spirit of God hath made me”. (NWT) “God’s own spirit made me”
Psa 51:11. NKJV. Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.
Isa 63:10. NKJV. But they rebelled and grieved His Holy Spirit; So He turned Himself against them as an enemy, And He fought against them.
Eze 2:2. NKJV. Then the Spirit entered me when He spoke to me, and set me on my feet; and I heard Him who spoke to me.
Eze 3:24. NKJV. Then the Spirit entered me and set me on my feet, and spoke with me and said to me:
PSA 63:11. NKJV. Then he remembered the days of old, Moses and his people, saying: “Where is He who brought them up out of the sea With the shepherd of His flock? Where is He who put His Holy Spirit within them,
Daniel 4:8-9. NKJV. But at last Daniel came before me (his name is Belteshazzar, according to the name of my god; in him is the Spirit of the Holy God), and I told the dream before him, saying: 9, “Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, because I know that the Spirit of the Holy God is in you, and no secret troubles you, explain to me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and its interpretation.
Daniel 8:18, NKJV.This dream I, King Nebuchadnezzar, have seen. Now you, Belteshazzar, declare its interpretation, since all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known to me the interpretation; but you are able, for the Spirit of the Holy God is in you'.
Daniel 5:11. NKJV. There is a man in your kingdom in whom is the Spirit of the Holy God...
Joel 2:28-29. NKJV. “And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. 29, And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.
Matt 12:31. NKJV. Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men.
NOTE: This last text alone proves the Deity of the Holy Spirit, for one can only blaspheme against a person Who is Divine or God!
Matt 28:19. NKJV. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
John 14:16 NKJV. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever
John 16:13. NKJV. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
Acts 5:3-4. NKJV. But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? 4 While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.
Acts 5:9. NKJV. Then Peter said to her, “How is it that you have agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.”
Acts 8:29. NKJV. Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go near and overtake this chariot.”
Acts 10:19-20 NKJV. While Peter thought about the vision, the Spirit said to him, “Behold, three men are seeking you. 20 Arise therefore, go down and go with them, doubting nothing; for I have sent them.”
Acts 13:2 NKJV. As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.
Acts 16:6-7 NKJV. Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia. 7 After they had come to Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit did not permit them.
Romans 8:26-27 NKJV. Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Rom. 15:30. NKJV. Now I beg you, brethren, through the Lord Jesus Christ, and through the love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me in prayers to God for me,
1 Cor 12:3-11. NKJV. Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. 4 There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: 8 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.
2 Cor 3:17. NKJV. Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
Eph. 4:30. NKJV. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
Heb. 9:14. (KJV) “the eternal Spirit”. (ASV) “the eternal Spirit”. (NWT) “everlasting spirit”.
Heb 10:29. NKJV. Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace?
2 Peter 1:21. NKJV. for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
