Jesus gives us warnings about His coming.
Matth 24:24. For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive if possible, even the elect.
( Matth 24:4. Mark 13:5.Luke 21:8.)
No one knows when Jesus will return!
Matth 14:26-27. If they say He is in the desert or inner rooms believe it not. For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west so will the coming of Jesus.
Matth 24:36. But of that day and that hour no one knows, not even the Angels of heaven, but My Father only.
Matth 24:42. Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.
Matth 24:44. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
Matth 25:13. Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.
Mark 13:32. But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven.
Mark 13:35. Watch therefore for you do not know when the master is coming.
Luke 12:40. Therefore you also be ready for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
Will we see Jesus when He returns.
Dan 7:13. ...One like the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, And they brought Him near before Him.
Matth 24:27. For as the lightning come from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
Matth 24:30,31. The Son of Man will appear in Heaven and all the earth will mourn as they see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with and great glory.
31, He will send His angels with great sound of a trumpet. They will gather His elect from the four winds from one end of heaven to the other.
Luke 17:26. Like the days of Noah and Lot. They were eating, they drink, they married and divorced. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.
Luke 17:24. For as the lightning that flashes out of one part under heaven shines to the other part under heaven, so also the Son of Man will be in His day.
Luke 17:26-30. Days of Noah & Lot. They were drinking and eating then destroyed. Even so will it be in the day of the Son of Man is revealed.
Luke 21:27, Mark 13:26 They shall see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
Luke 24:36-51. Jesus was flesh and bones when he went to heaven and will come back the same way.
John 14:3. Jesus said! I will come again and receive you to Myself that where I am there you may be also.
Acts 1:10-11. They looked towards heaven as He went up two men said! Men of Galilee. This same Jesus who was taken up into heaven will come back the same way.
1 Thes 2:19..... you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming?
1Thes 4:14. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
1 Cor 1:7. .... eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ
Phil 3:20. For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,
Col 3:4. When Christ appears then you also will appear with Him in glory.
1 Tim 6:14. that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ’s appearing,
2 Tim 4:8. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
Titus 2:13. Looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ
Heb 9:28. Those who eagerly wait for Him, He will appear a second time.
James 5:7. Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord.....
1 Peter 4:13. .... when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.
1 John 2:28. And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming.
1 John 3:2. ..... but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.
Rev 1:7. Behold He is coming with clouds. Every eye will see Him even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him.
Rev 6:15-17. Men of the earth hide themselves and said to the mountains and rocks fall on us and hide us from the face of Him on the throne, from the Lamb.
The dead will rise.
1Thes 4:16-17. For the Lord will descend with a shout, Voice of an archangel and trumpet of God then the dead in Christ will raise first. 17, Then we who are alive shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.
NOTE! We will meet the Lord Jesus in the air not on the earth.
John 5:28,29 The hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth.
1Cor 15:51-55 We all will be changed in a twinkling of and eye at the last trump For the trumpet will sound and the dead will rise incorruptible and we will be changed.
Flaming fire.
Isa 66:15 The Lord will come with fire and His chariots like a whirlwind. To render His anger with fury and His rebuke with flames of fire.
2Thes 1:7-8 When the Lord is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels. 8, In flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God.
2Thes 2:8 The Lord will consume with His breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.
2 Peter 3:10. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.
Will come in glory.
Matth 16:27 The Son of Man will come in all the glory of His Father, with His angels then He will reward each according to his works.
Matth 25:31 The Son of Man will come in His glory and all the Holy angels with Him.
Mark 8:38. The Son of Man comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.
Mark 13:26. They will see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
Luke 9:26. He comes in His own glory and in His Fathers and of all the holy angels.
