Is the Watchtower the last day prophet for Jehovah?
THE SOCIETY’S AUTHORITY:
Why are its members prepared to be so submissive to the Society?
It is because they have accepted that it is “God’s Channel of Truth” for these last days.
But much more importantly it is: “Jehovah’s Prophet”.
Can a True Prophet make mistake?
When I studied with a Jehovah Witness on this topic of a prophet I was told many prophets had made mistakes as Moses did long ago. They said the Watchtower has made a few mistakes but this is common with any prophet.
Yes prophets have made mistakes in the past but not when they are under inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

Jehovah’s Witnesses claim to be the only group to have truth revealed to them by Jehovah. In this case, why do they require ongoing changes in doctrine? Does truth really change?
The main justification from the Watchtower for changed doctrine is Proverbs 4:18:
“But the path of the righteous ones is like the bright light that is getting lighter and lighter until the day is firmly established.” Proverbs 4:18
Psalm 119:105. Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. NOTE: Light is Gods word and it does not change.
To interpret “light” as referring to Watchtower “doctrinal” understanding is simply justification for prior error.

We are told that the Watchtower is moving into light and not staying in darkness? Why don't they accept the more correct name of Yahweh?
The question I have is this?
The books and information the Watchtower are sharing today door to door may not be the truth tomorrow? Does God's prophet teach truth one day and then next day the truth has changed?
Malachi 3:6. “For I am the Lord, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.

In 1972, when the Society was confident the End was coming in 1975, it made the outright claim that it was “Jehovah’s Prophet”.

True Prophets.
Jeremiah 28:9. As for the prophet who prophesies of peace, when the word of the prophet comes to pass, the prophet will be known as one whom the Lord has truly sent.”
False Prophets:
Jeremiah 23:16-17. Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you. They make you worthless; They speak a vision of their own heart, Not from the mouth of the Lord. 17 They continually say to those who despise Me, ‘The Lord has said, “You shall have peace” ’; And to everyone who walks according to the dictates of his own heart, they say, ‘No evil shall come upon you.’ ”
Deuteronomy 18:22. When a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.

2 Timothy 3:16. ALL Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

NOTE: The Holy Spirit gave holy men prophecy to tell Gods people but the Watchtower do not believe the Holy Spirit is God.
