Spiritual Israel
In Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) theology, "Spiritual Israel" refers to the Christian Church as the continuation and fulfillment of God's covenant people, encompassing believers from all nations (Gentiles included) who accept Jesus Christ, rather than just ethnic Jews, emphasizing that true Israel is spiritual, not just physical, as seen in Romans 2:28-29 where true circumcision is of the heart, a core SDA belief reflected in Ellen G. White's writings on the remnant church and the New Jerusalem. Key study points involve understanding the Church as the New Covenant people, distinguishing believers from the secular modern state of Israel, focusing on prophetic fulfillment in Christ and the Church, and recognizing the faithful few (the remnant) within the global church who keep God's commandments and hold to Jesus' testimony.
