Roman Catholics believe:
Roman Catholics believe that the Bible does not support the observance of Sunday. It is their institution, and those who observe Sunday, observe a commandment of the Catholic Church, and pay homage it.
Note: Sunday is a Catholic institution, and its claims to observance can be defended only on Catholic principals. From beginning to end of Scripture there is not a single passage that warrants the transfer of weekly public worship from the last day of the week to the first. (The Catholic Press, Sydney, Australia August 1900)
The Catholic Church bases its belief on the Holy Scripture, Sacred Tradition, and what the the holy Father the Pope has to say.

Protestants believe:
Many believe that Christ changed the day originally set apart for worship, and many believe they keep Sunday as a sacred day of worship in remembrance of Christ’s resurrection. They also believe that there is no Scriptural evidence that Sunday is God’s commanded holy day of rest and worship. Some choose to believe that the true Sabbath, Saturday, was only for the Jews.
Here is one examples below of many quotes below from the Catholic Church. I personally own this book.
The Question Box:
By Bertrand L Conway with a preface by Cardinal Gibbons. 1910. Page 254.
…because of the infallible witness of the Church as to their divine or apostolic origin. Why do Protestants accept the Scriptures as inspired? Why do they honor the first day of the week instead of the seventh?
Why do they baptize children? Contrary to their principles, they must look outside the Bible to the voice of tradition, which is not human, but divine, because guaranteed by the divine, infallible witness of the Catholic Church. Pg75 -76.
What Bible authority is there for changing the Sabbath from the seventh to the first day of the week? Who gave the Pope the authority to change a command of God?
If the Bible is the only guide for the Christian, then the Seventh Day Adventist is right in observing the Saturday with the Jew. But the Catholics learn what to believe and do from the divine, infallible authority established by Jesus Christ, and the Catholic Church, which in Apostolic times made Sunday the day of rest to honor our Lord's resurrection on the day. Pg 254.
Is it not strange that those who make the Bible their only teacher should inconsistently follow in this matter the tradition of the Church.

The Catholic Church also removes the second commandment and divides the tenth.
Adventists believe:
Sunday is the first day of the week and as such is not a sacred day. Adventists have regard to the 4th Commandment to remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. Saturday is the Seventh day, it is the Sabbath, and God commanded its observance. Christ’s example is to be followed; He rested in the tomb throughout the Sabbath hours. Adventists believe, true Sabbath keeping is a sign and that God especially blesses His commandment keeping people.
Exodus 20:8-11. Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work. But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God; in it thou shalt not do any work, thou nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea and all in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
Exodus 21:13 Verily My Sabbaths shalt thou keep; for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the God that doth sanctify you.
